HOW is Treegeneration delivering benefits to urban areas?

Treegeneration works in partnership with individuals and departments in government agencies, local authorities, environmental and community groups and other organisations. By raising awareness of the importance of trees and woodlands in urban development and regeneration schemes, we are working to ensure that trees and woodlands play a more central role in such initiatives.

Through the provision of advice and funding for tree planting, Treegeneration can offer a wide variety of groups and organisations the opportunity to enhance the quality of their surroundings. By taking a community-centered approach in the planning, delivery and maintenance of tree planting schemes, we aim to ensure that our schemes meet the needs and expectations of their target audience and, wherever possible, contribute to community development. This kind of approach more often than not results in greater benefits and more sustainable tree planting schemes.
